#4 Serie Survivor 1996
Il 1996 ha visto Paul Bearer accendere The Undertaker durante il SummerSlam di quell'anno. L'umanità stava affrontando Undertaker in un Boiler Room Brawl al PPV. L'umanità non solo ha vinto la partita, ma l'abbiamo anche visto schierarsi con Paul Bearer.
The Undertaker e Mankind si sono affrontati in un Buried Alive match a In Your House 11: Buried Alive. Sebbene The Undertaker abbia vinto la partita, è stata l'umanità ad avere l'ultima risata. Mentre The Undertaker accumulava terra su Mankind, che era stato sbattuto nella tomba, un certo numero di alleati di Mankind, tra cui Triple H, uscirono per attaccare The Deadman. Hanno quindi messo The Undertaker e hanno iniziato ad ammucchiarsi nella terra sopra di lui. Mentre stava succedendo, un fulmine ha colpito la lapide e abbiamo visto una delle mani di Undertaker uscire dalla terra.
The Undertaker ha continuato a fare il suo ritorno alle Survivor Series nello stesso anno. Undertaker ha avuto la sua vendetta quella notte battendo l'umanità in modo abbastanza completo al suo ritorno dalla morte.
